We all love a long weekend don’t we, and its even better if we have a weekend pad to escape to!
Lucy Fenton & Josh Markeys 1970’s getaway is just fabulous, located in coastal Victoria it is decked out with some of their nautical treasures collected from around the globe over the years, as well as awesome pieces from their store Fenton & Fenton in Melbourne
The wooden interior is much like the Lockwood builds that constitute many NZ holiday bach’s. The timber interior forms a perfect backdrop to display all their treasures.
No matchy-matchy here, a riot of styles and layers make this place just ‘work’ – the combination of natural timber, texture and pops of colour create a fun, relaxed vibe.
The life ring, surfboard & water skis look great displayed inside and add that beach vibe.
Bringing a hanging chair inside says …relax a while, read a book, daydream ……
Nothing too precious here ….. A mix of industrial chairs and vintage bar stools add a fun twist!
Adding a few surprises to the mix is the headboard made from a pair of old doors, not only are they colourful they add texture and scale to an otherwise tiny room.
A bit of a bowerbird Lucy has collected shells from the beach and displayed them in jars and also made them into a garland above her bed sitting perfectly alongside Ahoy Trader crosses.
We are totally in love with this relaxing space ….
